Scope of work
Cable reels and a hydraulic pulling spread are set on the beach for the shore-end of a submarine cable landing at Grover Beach, California. The pulling rope runs from the winch out through the surf line to the float-in cable, with tension and rope path monitored continuously through the pull.
Krull Telecom handled beach setup, duct proofing, reel and winch positioning, shore-end pull, and transfer of the cable into the beach manhole for splicing and testing.
